With the help of our tools, we might change/adjust our tour route as it is never fixed.

-photography-
We are passionate about photography. Our guide is going to capture the highlights of your tour. Let those be landscape photographs with Northern Lights, a portrait of you with the Northern lights, or a cosy campfire picture, the stunning memories will last a lifetime.
If you have your own camera, our guide is going to help you with the camera settings.

-equipment-
We provide you with thermal suits, hand- and foot-warmers, which will help you to stay comfortable even on some of the coldest nights!
Although we provide you with useful equipment to stay warm, please remember to dress suitably for the current season as we are in the arctic. Our recommendation is to wear enough layers, wool socks, winter boots, thick jacket and hat.
Please bring passports as some nights we end up driving to Finland.
A Quest to find the Northern Lights
Your journey begins with our experienced guide, who, prior to the tour, precisely analyzes the weather forecast. This ensures that we choose the optimal locations for the evening, maximizing your chances of witnessing the Northern Lights in their full glory. We keep monitoring real-time weather conditions when needed, ensuring flexibility in our route to find the Aurora wherever it decides to reveal its beauty (wherever the skies are clear).
When an optimal/promising location is found, we settle down and set up our campfire, where dinner, hot drinks, and cookies are going to be served. We are well equipped for the conditions of the arctic. Thermal suits, hand- and foot-warmers are provided by us, yet it is vital to dress suitably for winter conditions.
You will benefit from the extensive knowledge our guide possesses about the region, its history, legends and the science behind the Northern Lights. You can engage in informative sessions that deepen your understanding of this phenomenon, adding an educational dimension to your experience.
We are also passionate about photography. Our guide is going to capture the highlights of the tour. Let those be landscape photographs with Northern Lights, a portrait of you, or a cosy picture of our group sitting around the campfire, the stunning memories will last a lifetime. The photographs taken are going to be sent to your e-mails the next day(s) after the tour. We offer help setting up your camera, if you decide to bring your own on the tour. Tripods and head-torches are available on request.
In the “hands” of nature:
Nature is unpredictable, and we embrace it.
Luck is an important factor.
Although we really wish we could, but we cannot control neither the weather conditions nor the solar activity.
Taking our chances with nature is the best we can do.
Ultimately, patience is key in nature. It is about understanding and respecting the intrinsic timing of the natural world. It encourages us to slow down, observe, and appreciate the beauty and complexity of the environment in its own time and rhythm.
We love nature, therefore we aim to be as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible.
As we end up at different locations every night, it is impossible to know the exact duration of the tour in advance.
Nights when we have clearer skies closer to Tromsø, that might mean a shorter drive to a nearer location, other nights we might have to drive as far as Finland to find gaps between the clouds to get a glimpse of the Northern Lights! (Since we might have to drive to Finland, make sure to bring passports!)
